The Crooked Man rides again...
THERE WAS A CROOKED MAN, a sweeping, dark epic spanning multiple times and dimensions, begun twenty-five years ago, is being rebooted. Joseph S. Pulver to edit. Nick Gucker to draw front cover and maps. And a whole host of the absolute top of New Weird fiction sticking their spoons in this boiling cauldron of Literature. Yes, Literature, and not just because THE NEW YORKER finally quit beating up the science-fiction kids on the playground. Further posts to follow. Watch This Space. It's on...

Rebooted? As in, forget the first book, we're gonna have a do over?
Yes. Forget the first book. Version one TANKED. Just like BLOOD OF EDEN and THE FRANK PRINCIPLE and O FORTUNA. Version two is being edited by Joseph Pulver, who has been like a father to my work. Nick Gucker, Seattle's answer to Robert Williams, is doing the cover and interior maps. If this book makes any money whatsoever, one quarter of my profits have been promised to an LA-based animal rescue group in the name of Richard and Jennifer Lee Pryor. The other 3/4 are going to the Oregon Division of Child Support, with a great big bow on them. The first book was a first draft. All eight books are getting told properly, with a few industry heavy hitters writing blurbs and intros and such. I am hopeful. :)
